I believe she had twins and a c/sec. Maybe it was an earlier birth?

Speaking of Xena - did you see the episode where she gives birth? She labors in the woods, kicking Zuses (spelled wrong? getting a migraine- can't think!) butt between contractions. Then gives birth in the woods attended by Gabrielle. A must see for all CBE classes!

I always wondered if Lucy Lawless wrote that part. I can see her reading the script that they wrote in lame hollywood style and saying "nope-aint gonna do it - birth is like this........"

I watched a show on VH-1 that was about Toni Braxton. She had both her kids by c-section because she had a previous uterine surgery for endometeriosis and was afraid of rupture.

Fun thread! This is a bit off topic, but I saw a photo of Carrie-Ann Moss in US Weekly magazine not too long ago carrying her toddler in a Moby Wrap. They made some snide remark about it, though. Ugh. Also, US Mag has had little tidbits about Jennifer Connelly breastfeeding her son (and a photo of him in a sling or Baby Bjorn - can't remember). They also reported that Gwyneth Paltrow bought a sling at Babies 'R Us. I fear she bought the NOJO. Don't you think she needs a Zolowear?! Does anybody have her address???

Ok, I read US Weekly, but I promise I'm not shallow.

I seem to remember that Faye Dunaway had her son, Liam O'Neill, in 1980 in her home in CT.

I recall that she set up a whole room in her home for the event. If my memory serves me right, I recall that it was a very "medical" setting, but it was in her home.

Can anyone collaborate this for me?

Also, I do believe that Karen Black had her son at home in the late 1970's (Hunter Carter). Her sister was a regular character on "Another World" (Pauline) and I believe that is her mentioned in the post above. ( I do not watch soaps )

Just wanted to add that all of the "River Phoenix" siblings were born at home or in the family van as they were missionaries of a sort and were on the road alot. They do not vax either (drugs were another matter).

Some one mentioned Graham Nash. He went to the same homebirth doctor as I did when his first son, Jackson, was born. Very cool. Carole King also.

And Kathleen Kennedy Townsend?...wow! Was she the youngest child of the Bobby/Ethel Kennedy family? Ethel was pregnant with her that night at the Ambassador when Bobby was shot. I remember that Ethel had all of her children by c/s - hard to believe.

Yeah, 11 c/sec's. Can you imagine? I think most OB"s even today would be apoplectic at the thought!

That is a beautiful poster! Thanks for sharing.

I was never a big fan of Pam anderson. But after hearing all this, my views have changed. Wow! What an awesome momma!

you can add Prince and his wife to the list!

Where did you find all of the info on Pam Anderson? I'd love to know more about how she raises her kids AP!! It's so interesting and unexpected!
Pam writes about her boys and the books she reads to raise them. She is the public spokeswoman for PETA and also talks about raising her kids ethically. She made appearances while pg with both and talked about her homebirth. Basically when she gets a chance to just talk about "Pamela" she talks about her spirituality, birthing, mothering...

Nelly Furtado is also a homebirther, like her grandma

Also, I know Demi Moore had at least one of her kids at the hospital, I saw a part of the video on True Hollywood Story. Or maybe it was pictures, anyway her friend reported she was one of those annoying moms who barely made any noise and made it look easy. :LOL I know she had all kids drug/hormone free.

Lastly, Pam Anderson rocks. She has forced me to question a lot of my stances on other issues because we seem to agree on so many that I hold dear, breastfeeding, birthing, co-sleeping, vegetarianism/animal rights, etc. Incidentally, I heard she got caught wearing a pair of Ugs and convinced the company to make a vegan version. If I would afford a cute (Or Ugly ) pair of shoes right now, I'd buy them just to support Ug and Pam.
