Ok, so not a total emergency... And I don't know what I'm expecting to get out of this post but I'm going to post it anyway.
I feel ready for labor, I feel like the baby will come when I give it the OK, but I still feel like there are a couple of (silly) things holding me back. I was ok with not having a boys' name picked out, since I'm fairly confident that we're having a girl, and then I had a dream that I had a boy. In my dream I didn't even bother to check for a half an hour because I was so confident that it was a girl, and then I was wrong. Can you ladies give me some ideas for a boys name? I know that sounds strange. We don't want something that's been really popular lately. We don't want our kid to get to school and be one of 100 with his name, like Jennifer was in the 80s. I'd like something a LITTLE unusual, but my husband does not... For instance, I wanted to name the girl Sunsong, but my husband said no way.

The other thing is the Belly cast. I think we're going to try again tonight. This will be our third try... The first time we used plaster bandages. I passed out and then the whole thing fell apart... The second time we did the plaster bandages again, reinforced with a bag of plaster, but didn't have enough plaster so we couldn't finish it... But we did manage to prop my legs up so I wouldn't pass out again (I've always had trouble with being still causing me to pass out.) Then we realized the plaster bandages were expired, and THAT'S why they were falling apart...

This time I went to a medical supply store and got some 4x4 gauze. (Two nice big packages...) and FOUR bags of plaster (I DO NOT want to run out again...) I figure we'll grease me up, lay out a thick enough layer of gauze to keep the plaster mostly off my skin. Wet the gauze that goes around my nipples and bellybutton to it will preserve some detail and then mix plaster and smooth it on. If any of you have done a belly cast, do you see anything about this plan that might cause failure?

I know this is a long OT post with silly problems, But I firmly believe these things are preventing me from going into labor... and I am ready for labor already!!

Not in your DDC, but I thought I would chime in with a few names.

Anything that rhymes with "Aiden" is the trendiest right now. As are last names as first names.

Haven
Latham
Kelvin
Uri
Nevin
Silas

I have a feeling this boy is just going to get a girls name. How we came up with a name for the first one is beyond me. We've thought of Simon before but I'm not sure how much I like it... The others I'll have to think on and see if any of them grow on me. Thanks ladies, please keep them coming, surely one will pop out at me and be The One.

Well my husband is a WoW addicted ass (not that I can say anything) and we didn't do the belly cast tonight... I've demanded that it be done first thing tomorrow, since the baby could come any minute and his guild does a Kara run every Thursday. Great, wait until this child shows up and I have to explain to it that it's belly cast was scheduled around Dadas' WoW-playing time!
