Thanks for the suggestion. I don't really have room for a plant, right now, but maybe a picture of something growing....

I just wanted to add that I redecorated our bedroom, which is our wealth center, in shades of reds and purples and money seems to be coming our way! Really neat!

I just put a contract from a consignment shop with the guys' business cards in the "helpful people" corner of the desk, and a check came today for the lamp that's been there for waaaay over a year.

That was quick!

I highly recommend this little tool.

Just posting in to say I love this thread and I thank the ones who have bumped it up for us to read.

Great to hear all that everyone's working on!

We had a large tree in the relationship corner of the yard fertilized with natural strengtheners because it was sad from the previous owener building this house to close to it. Let's just say that I can tell a HUGE difference!!

For anybody wanting to experiment with caring trees or whatever in the yard in specific areas that you want to improve/enhance, it might be really interesting for you.

I need some advice! We are in the midst of building a new home. Although I have used Feng Shui in our current home, I didn't really think about the layout when choosing a house plan. Now it has hit me that I think our layout is very bad in Feng Shui terms! It is shaped like a T, with the top bar of the T two stories, and the post of the T one level with very high ceilings. The top bar of the T is very long, and I'm thinking this leaves huge chunks of our baguas "missing". The back yard will have a patio and pool to fill out the missing areas -- is that enough? The front yard will have trees, etc. What else should I do to fill out the missing areas?

BTW, the front door is on the side of the main post of the T.

Thanks for any advice!

you will need to anchor the corners opposite of the T

basically it is like you have turn your T into an I...do you know what I mean?

Here's a nice link about abundance and prosperity and how Feng shui can increase these things.

I do have a question about these things though. Isn't it true that you can orient your bagua from the POV of facing the front door, (not just from true north, true west etc on your property?

I just wanted to reccommend a great book I just finished reading. It's an intro to FS by a interior designer and former FS skeptic. It's a very short, easy read with lots of great philosophy plus the basics on how to use FS in your home or apartment:

"The Gift of the Red Envelope" by Linda Lenore
http://www.lindalenore.com/

She's local to me and I'm going to try and take her "green feng shui" class this Fall!

The Feng Shui Masters said that it was 10 percent placement and 90 percent intention. That may seem like, "Why bother". Do! I've found that things have happened for me when I really worked on my placement sincerely, AND my intentions were in the right place authentically. Magic!

Tracy, thanks for the cheat sheet refreshers.

Anyone hang flutes over thier doors? :

What would you guys call the 'child area'...? I know some of the areas, but I am confused about this one. I use the grid:

123
456
789

Thanks

Thanks, Tracy. That is kind of in the middle of 2 rooms on that side. We have 4 rooms kind of on the first floor. I just took down a fading jade plant from that area. We are working on the kitchen and the plant was relocated to the top of the fridge. Maybe I will hang something on the wall there?
