How's your body? - Page 3

I gained 40 lbs...and a fat roll across my midsection. The first 20 lbs came off in a week, but my fat roll is still there 4 weeks pp. Isn't breastfeeding supposed to get rid of that? When?!? My stomach muscles are still there but they're buried!

Same Here, I think it has something to do with our ethnicity

I went to the gym yesterday for the first time and it felt great!! However my midsection is a lot flabbier this time around that the previous 2 times and I can't do abdominal exercises yet due to c/s.

my linea nigra is still there. A bunch of it peeled out of my belly button a few weeks ago and lightened but it still there.

I have no idea how much I weigh but fit in most size 10 pants now. My weight gain is all in my midsection. I know that will disappear slowly but surely. I have done pilates a few times but now have the official go ahead from my mw to do it more regularly.

Oh and in my boobs too (just now going down to double d's).

All in all I'm feeling pretty good, even about the weight gain.

I have a little bit of some skin reaction on my face. Doesn't look like much other than a bit of peeling skin. It itches a bit too. Especially on my forehead. I used an apricot sc rub on it the other night and followed with witch hazel and then some psoriaflora (a homeopathic cream for psoriasis type skin conditions) and it immediately took the itching away and has helped with the scaling too.

At only 2 days PP, I'm actually pretty impressed with how things are going body-wise.

With both my pregnancies I gained roughly 35-40 lbs. But with my last one, it just took me much longer to heal. I'm still a little sore, but all in all, I'm feeling good and energetic. I hardly have any perineal pain (despite small tear w/ stitches).

I have not dared weigh myself yet, I only just got out of my pajamas for the first time since the birth about 10 minutes ago . I put on some maternity clothes because I still have quite the belly, but it's shrinking minute by minute.

Now I'm depressed after reading this thread. I only gained 25 lbs this time as opposed to the 50 I gained last time. I weighed myself at 24 hrs pp and I had lost 13 lbs. Woohoo! HOWEVER, I have not lost anything since then and may actually have gained a pound. What the heck? Seriously, I'm maybe eating a little too much sugar, but as far as calories, I'm not eating any more. I really want to go run, but 8 days pp is probably a little soon.

Elizabeth is a week old today, I gained maybe 2 pounds during this pregnancy and after she was born I immediately lost 10 pounds. Now a week later I'm down another 5 pounds. I still have the flabby post-baby belly but it's getting better.

If I'd brought them to the hospital I could probably have worn my pre-pregnancy clothes home. I did wear them on Monday, the first full day we were home. I'm at a lower weight than I was when I got pregnant, too.

If that's what you call bouncing back, MY BABY TOOK MY BUTT, i mean really I had a nice size butt before I began this thing and now it's as flat as my back, not to mention my hips spread and I can not for the life of me get into my size 1 jeans ........... anything for my LO (i think)

Well, I was thinking I was doing pretty good till I saw THAT! Size 1? I bow down before you! (And secretly hope you're like a foot shorter than me hehe.)
I gained 55 lbs all told. I think a good chunk of that was water weight cause I really swelled...and lost 25-30 pretty quick. When I check myself out, I think I look really darn good besides the stretch marks! Granted I'm wearing size 12 or 14 pants right now, but I don't think it will be too hard to get back to an 8. All told, I'm pleased-at 2.5 weeks PP I'm way ahead of where I thought I'd be!

FTMs out there it's very normal for your hips and rib cage to be stretched out and not return to where they were before you were pg. I've always had wide hips so I'm not sure how much having kids stretched them out, but I know for sure my rib cage has never gone back to where it was. Considering the huge cup size I wear now it's probably a good thing my rib cage isn't any smaller.

It's taking longer than i had hoped for, but realistically it's going well. I gained about 70 lbs or so... it was 41 weeks of being very hungry. I ate really healthy but still gained so much. I have lost about 35 lbs so far and i'm about 24 days PP. I don't fit into anything pre pregnancy yet and i assume it will take a a good 2 months before i do. But i'm hopeful. I find it hard to walk around in *this* body which i don't feel comfortable in. I went from being pregnant where my belly was cute and amazing to PP where my left over fat is just considered fat. i really miss my jeans.
sigh
