Wall outlet pest control?

So my husband wants to get the house sprayed for termites yearly, and I really, really don't want to for obvious safety reasons. But he's determined.

One night when I couldn't sleep, I saw an ad for pest control that's a device you plug into wall outlets... it releases some kind of sound or wave (that humans can't hear) that keeps pests out of the house. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And does it really work?

Thanks for any help,

We ordered from this company last year and have been 100% satisfied with their products!

http://www.electronicpestrepeller.com/

I don't know if it is the same one you saw advertised (we don't have TV!). We had a packrat in our walls/ceiling/crawlspace and NOTHING worked on making it leave or killing it! We tried everything from traps to poison (a last resort, but we were desperate). Chew-chew-chew, all day, all night. :

So, after months of this, we ordered the electronic pest repellers from this company. Within one day, the sounds STOPPED. There has been no evidence of any rodents since. No mice (we live in the country and I expect them once in awhile), no spiders, no packrat (YEA!!!).

We can't hear the sound. Our dog and birds aren't bothered, either (dog sleeps next to one of them).

We bought several to put throughout the house. The total cost was around $250. Cheaper than an exterminator (who would only try traps and poison) and a lot cheaper than a burned-down house (pack rats like to chew electric wiring!).

Try them and see if they work for you. They have a money-back guarantee, so you really aren't out anything by trying them. Trust me, if it works, you'll know quickly!

Years ago, I lived in an apartment and we would always have a roach problem with all the people moving and out. I didn't want to spray stuff with my daughter being so little and into everything, so I bought some of those. Well, after about a month, I couldn't tell the difference and started unplugging them and noticed that the bugs were attracted to them!!! The box was warm, so the bugs were nesting on the backside of it

Thanks for the rec. I emailed them to ask if they work for termite control too (couldn't find that on the site.) Hopefully I can convince my husband to give it a go. Thanks!

Unfortunately, electronicpestrepeller.com doesn't have the technology yet for repelling wood boring pests (they're working on it.)

Anyone else? Is there any natural way to keep termites from destroying one's home?

Do you all spray every year? (This is our first time owning a house.) I REALLY don't want to, but I need to give my husband some other info before he'll listen...
