I haven't tried it so I can't offer a review. But here's the list of ingredients for their foundation:
So, it's not a pure mineral makeup (contains silk powder; sounds interesting but I have no experience with it so I couldn't say whether or not it's a benefit). And it has zinc oxide, which causes some people to experience an uncomfortable "prickly" feeling on their skin. Anyone know what allantoin is??
For comparison, here's the list of ingredients from a truly pure mineral makeup brand (Herbs of Grace):
Quote:
| Mica (and) Magnesium Myristate, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Boron Nitride, Iron Oxides, Kaolin Clay, Magnesium Stearate (Vegetable Derived), Silk Powder, Silica, Allantoin |

Allantoin is a non-toxic crystal created by the oxidation of uric acid. It has the ability to help heal wounds, sores and stimulates the growth of healthy tissue. It is a skin softener and an anti-irritant, which inhibits allergic type responses.
Silk Powder is full of amino acids! They penetrate the skin and leave it silky and smoothe, I love the stuff. I actually will use plain silk powder as a primer before I apply foundation. For those that aren't comfortable using silk because of where it comes from I would recommend a foundation with rice powder, it doesn't contain any amino acids or anything but it can feel very soft on the skin.
I make my own mineral make-up as a hobby and I use Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Mica, Magnesium Myristate, Boron Nitride, Iron Oxides, Silk Powder, Ultramarine Blue, and Allantoin in it. I would like to try some pearl powder next time around, I've heard great things about it. I don't use any bismuth oxychloride in mine because that is the ingredient that makes alot of women feel itchy.
A few things to consider about this foundation are: sometimes having Kaolin clay in the foundation can be too drying, it depends on how much is in the formula and how dry your skin is to begin with, of course if you get oily than it can be great. I have heard that some have reactions to silica, but I'm sure most people can use it no problem. Good thing about it is that it contains some really good additives in it like the allantoin and silk, most companies don't spend the extra $$ to put those in their products.
