Dairy-less dessert recipes???

I actually found a great recipe for cherry apricot crumble in First magazine. The only dairy it calls for is butter, but I can use goat butter.

Made it for DS' first b-day and it was great! For frosting, we subbed tofuti cr. cheese and vegan buttery spread.

My husband just found a website that called something like 101 cookbooks. There are many amazing looking dairy free desserts in it!

I've had a lot of luck using mashed banana instead of butter in baking recpies. You may have to adjust the leavening agent, but it turns out yummy, especially with brownies!

I don't know if you're still looking but... There's no dairy in most of my desserts, on my blog, in my signature. Two of my kids can't have dairy, one can't have nuts. So I've adapted a lot. Also look at vegan recipes since they won't use milk (or eggs).

we make a grapefruit granita with juice, (honey or agave) and finely chopped mint. freeze in glass rectangle for 4 hours, scrape with fork to break up crystals. freeze for another hour and serve. yumm

One thing my kids love is to whirl coconut milk and berries in the blender until smooth, adding a little sweetener if needed. Then freeze in ice cube trays. Then put them through an ice shaver. Huge hit with my kids! They think it's a big treat, and have no clue how healthy it is!

You can also do it with smoothies.
