Night time Help

Okay my 6 year old has to have night time pull ups. I made him one yesterday hopping that I wouldn't have to buy them any more. I put a layer of PUL in it and it didn't leek through it leaked around and over the top. I made it out of a t-shirt then sandwiched a layer of pul, a prefold and a layer of microfiber. He sleeps on his stomach. What do I need to do different? HELP

is the PUL on the outside? it sounds like you put the PUL on the inside somewhere... PUL is the waterproof part, and must be on the outside of the whole thing... I am assuming that you put the t-shirt on the outside, and the other absorbants inside... try a poly fabric for the outer if you don't liek the PUL look or feel... cotton will wick and cause leaking. Especially if it is topstiched.

I think I might just make him some with the PUL on the outside and the insides to remain the same maybe that will keep it from wicking. He could always were shorts on the outside if he wanted to. He only needs them at home so I thnk he would be fine with the PUL on the outside. I only have whi right now so maybe some blue or print or something would help.
