I read a thread not to long ago about this topic and was wondering if anyone knew any specific websites that i can go to. I really want to try to opt out of EOG's for my 14 y/o...he just does not do good on these type of tests and it stress's him to no end. It's political if you ask me. Is there any way out of it? In NC by the way..

What state are you in. I'd know how to help you in CA...but I can search around for other states.

I'm in Ga and trying to get my kids out of this test as well. I am having no luck. I was pointed to a good site fairtesting.org. Good luck.

Try writing a letter to the school. Tell them, don't ask them, that you are exempting your child from the test. See what they say. If they tell you that you cannot do this, ask for proof, in writing.

For current 10th grade students and younger, they are required to pass certain EOC tests in order to graduate from high school. The only exceptions are for students with certain provisions in their IEPs.
