OH! Maybe maybe maybe?

So yesterday my midwife found the head was so low it's practically out already LOL...then my hormonal bawling session in the afternoon. Then earlier this afternoon I puked out of the blue and immediately after had diarrhea.
But NO mucus plug, water, anything else...except I seem to be getting some light ctx now.
I'm going to take a glass of wine to the bathtub and see how that makes me feel! DH is leaving work an hour early.
Oh pleeze let this be it, or the start of it!

Midwife said no wine. Sigh...party pooper! LOL!
So I popped some popcorn on the stove, cut up half a pineapple, and brewed some RRL tea to take with me into the tub. (Remember I haven't had lunch yet since tossing my cookies.) OH, hot water is nice! I actually couldn't tell if I was having a contraction unless my hand was on my belly! OT, I did get brave and 'check'-sure enough there was baby's head, right there. DH was curious enough to try too, and was totally amazed.
Now that I'm out of the tub I can feel the discomfort a bit more with each contraction. Still-they're at least 10 min apart and nothing very exciting, so I'm trying not to get TOO worked up. I figure that I'll bake some cookies, we'll watch The Office (yay!), maybe sleep some tonight, and THEN the show will really start!
Finally it's about time to really see if baby is a boy or a girl! Or one of each!

No baby.
Things fizzled out right about bedtime. Oh, AND our satellite provider 'lost' the channel DURING the new episode of The Office... I was NOT pleased. Bout ready to start making phone calls...'I'm a woman in labor and I NEED that show! FIX IT!' lol.
While I was in labor, I did at least make a batch of cookies. These:

And they're pretty darn awesome.

Gonna see if we can't get things rolling again today! I did sleep like the dead for at least 8 hours, and I feel so refreshed, like I could handle anything. So maybe my body really just needed to get that out of the way.

Aww, hon, you're ready to go any time now. I bet once it does happen it'll be quick and smooth. And you're allowed to have a *little* wine, just don't tell the mw!

Wine?! Heck, when I went into labor with DS I had a screwdriver! Best damn screwdriver I've ever had in my life.

Well, she said I COULD have wine, but that even if I was starting real labor, it would probably slow things down. I didn't know that-thought it would only slow it down if it was false labor. So that's why I didn't have any.
Today: last minute errands (restock fridge w/ raw milk and farm eggs, have the police station check the car seat install), more pineapple, and a powerwalk! Let's go baby!

Oh.... sorry things stopped. Maybe you should have a screwdriver/wine next time.
Enjoy your day!

From everything I've read, a little drink can help you relax and get out of the way of labor enough to let it do its thing, so it can actually go faster. If it's the real thing. If you feel antsy when you think you're in labor and having trouble relaxing and getting into it, I bet a drink would work great.

That's the way it worked for me, I'd been having on and off CTX for two and a half days... One drink then BAM, things picked up and he was born the next morning.

here's something funny....

....I'm vicariously enjoying your false ("false"...I think any/all contractions are valued!) labor, 'coz nuthin's goin' on here.

Yipee for your tricky labor-starting fake-out! closer and closer!!!!!

LOL we are pretty obsessed with The Office, so I must be honest and say that made me madder than anything, too.
We went to Alpaca Wacka's house tonight, and watched it online there! OOOO can you believe Jim and Pam? I'm so excited! ROFLMAO!

tinyshoes...don't blame ya one bit. I can't believe I got tricked. Just wait till YOU get tricked though, I'll be here ready to mock you! LOL!

mkmama...sorry to get you worked up there! Although, now that The Office is out of the way, maybe I'll start back up! Everything screeched to a halt last night shortly after I got all pissed off about it!
