The "I might be pregnant but I wasn't trying" thread - Page 92

Not sure if Im supposed to start a new thread or not, but I was wondering what everyone thinks of this pregnancy test. I took this Answer brand pregnancy test that came in a box of Answer ovulation tests box. Im nursing a 6 month old but have been having fertile patches of cm...I took this test and am not sure if its an evaporation line or faint positive.

Looks like a bfp to me! Did it come up within the time limit? Do you have a dollar store nearby that you could get some cheapies at to do another test? Would this be a happy thing or not so much?

It would be a happy thing, just a little shocking. My husband isnt sure about having anymore (Id love a bunch more!), but he also isnt too too worried if it happens by accident..but took another test this morning, an Equate one, and BFN. So confusing cause it looks like a line in the picture right?! Im thinking im not pregnant, but really went a whole day thinking i really could be.... Guess God knows best. Thanks for your comment!
Now im just going to start temping and charting so i have a better idea of the possibility of conceiving from now on.

Sorry I took so long to reply... Been doing the morning sickness/fatigue thing and everything else is slipping my mind these days...Was it a false positive or are you pregnant?
Im sorry you are feeling sick....My prayers are with you and your family.

I have taken a couple hpts....different brands, and all are negative. So i guess that was an evaporation line or false positive.
My baby has slept through the night (anywhere from 6-12 hours) for three months now and i ocassionally use a pacifier and a couple ounces of formula if baby is home with husband and Im out running errands...so from what im reading, its possible for fertility to return, but Im not sure what the odds are.
I would be both happy if i turned out pregnant at any time, but just a little nervous as my baby is only 6 months and i had a large subchorionic hematoma with her pregnancy which sent me to ER one morning. Doctor said i was ok for future pregnancies though so...
Thanks for taking time to respond with all you have going on OSTC!

Checking in here. Have a 6 month old and having some signs that make me and my partner think we might have just made another one... I love being a mom and I love my little man like nothing on this earth, but I am having some concerns. He recognizes his father, but isn't attached in the same way as he is to me (I'm going to insert a "duh" here). I am the primary caretaker 100%. He is my partners second and my first, but my partner acts like He's not sure what to do with a baby and is easily frustrated when our son fusses in his father's arms. My partner is very old fashioned with his view of gender roles and child care/house keeping. He was raised with that 1950s mentality so my attachment parenting style is sometimes seen as "coddling". I suppose I am looking for anyone who is/was in the same boat. I'm untested as of yet, but had cramping after a night of not-quite-successful withdrawal and have been having mood swings, crying, been dropping stuff and can't remember anything important.

My period is a few days late. That happens sometimes. But my BOOBS hurt so BAD. I'm really afraid. I thought I was getting my period 9 days ago because I had some spotting, but now no period. That happens sometimes, too. But this month, for the first time ever, a baby name popped into my head. Between that and my boobs (by the way, my husband said they feel " so big"), I am getting a little nervous.

Elizabeth- any news? It is always alarming when the hubs notices ;-)

Hmmm. I am posting this here because it might help someone. I am not sure what is going on, but I think my experience is mostly attributable to wacky PP hormones adjusting. This is my 3rd cycle PP. But just in case, and because I am wondering...I began spotting at 7 or 8 dpo through 10 dpo (using middle O pain and + opks) along with very light cramping that only lasted during the day on 7 dpo. It is now 13 dpo and my "real" AF is three days late. I am just now getting headaches, cramping and becoming very irritable (all pg symptoms for me). I had though I was in the clear and that I just got an early AF, but now I am not so sure. BFN again today. But it is still just 13 dpo, so maybe not...I will update here when I know either way. Thought I'd post this for others.

Update: Seems like it was just a weird PP cycle for those wondering. I continued to have headaches and pinchy cramps, irritability, exhaustion, and peeing at high frequency for many days into my new cycle, too, so that shows how strange Pp cycles can be.

Im currently 3 days late and I tested 4 times which all came out negative. It maybe way too early but I feel symptoms of nausea, back pain, crampiness, and fatigue. I always have a cycle of 29 days but my cycle has reached 33 days with high temps. It driving me off the wall figuring out whats going on. Most sensitive hpt??

That is the problem, I used ept neg, frer neg and dollar store test neg so I dont know if its me or the tests are not that sensitive. I have a gyno appointment this Thursday, I'm hoping I find out this week what is going in.

greensad.gif I don't know where you live and therefore what the cost would be... But I usally just go straight to having a blood test at that point. Good luck!

I figured that my LP actually didnt reach my avg.13dpo. It hit that mark today which means I should get my period today no matter how long my cycle is, all this was due to pushed back O day which I noticed. O day usually occurs 15-18CD but it went to CD 22 for me this time. Lets see what happens! eyesroll.gif

I know what you mean. In TCOYF she says the LP is pretty consistent for each woman. O might get delayed, causing a longer cycle, but your LP should generally stay the same.

Yes, it made clear sense I got the answer from a mother who practices NFP. She told me what I needed to hear and I dont know why I totally forgot about a consistent LP. It has never changed, always stayed at 13dpo. Im definitely going to remember this from now for next delayed O. I used to practice FAM so I went back to my book to read more on the LP.
