wooden scooters?

Thread Starter
I am looking for a store or website that sells wooden scooters. My son is 18 months old, and I think he would love to ride something around our spacious kitchen (or even outside if it ever warms up here... we're in Alaska : ). I was looking on http://www.blueberryforest.com/ but they don't seem to have quite what I am looking for... any other links or ideas?

Rolling Pony

We got my son a rolling pony when he was 18 months old. Still a favorite with my daughter who's 2 1/2 now.
the "Radio Flyer Rolling Pony" it's showing unavailable on Amazon.com, so I'm not sure what's up with that. Hopefully they are still making them. It's a nice, simple wood scooter thingy.

This came up if you are capable of making one: http://www.thewoodcrafter.net/proj/p14.php

For his age you might have better luck if you search for "ride on" toys instead of scooter.
Here's a pricey but super cool one.

We have this Radio Flyer scooter. It's nice and sturdy but doesn't go too fast. I chose it over the Classic version on amazon just due to comments that others had left. We also have another "hand-me-down" scooter and that really moves! Not sure of the brand but it has wheels like you'd find in rollerblades.
We have a Radio Flyer sit on toy too - yard sale find for $1. It's a much older version than this but my little one still loves to ride it around the house.

not all wood, but wheely bugs are super cute and fun, too.

Or you could make one by cutting and sanding a square wood board and putting 4 casters on the bottom, maybe even cut some hand holds on the sides.
