Full moon and hormonal

And it's not me. DD has lost her mind. 3'+ holes in her wall, 3 of them. And I have a 4" bruise on my leg from something she threw at me when I told her to chill in her room. All because she couldn't play on the computer today because she was grounded from it. And she hates us. : She's been doing so well controlling herself but losing the computer at that time of the month was too much. Ugh. I'm not going to survive the teenage years, please can I keep her a baby forever?

Aww. She should come hang out with my hormonal Ariah.
Here's how my day has gone.
Me: "Hey Ari, could you unload the dishwasher before you go upstairs?"
Her: "Go F*** yourself."

No holes in the wall. We win.

Luckily, Briar has not hit that stage yet. Maybe because he is a boy? So far his worst is raising his voice in the morning at his his little brothers.(hugs)

Ah yeah, DD used the F word for the first time ever today. She's allowed to say freaking, fricking, damn and heck, but she just had to pull out the big girl pants today. "F'ing die" was the mantra today. Lovely.

You might never have to go through it. I think it can happen when a spirited child hits the teen years.
It can be really rough to parent them. I was driving around yesterday with her and she was freaking out in the car. Screaming at me over something silly.
I was driving and quiet while she ranted. Finally I reached over and poked her uhmmmm "chest" and said "Don't be a boob." She was so surprised that she laughed! I got her to laugh.
She calmed down and was fine the rest of the way home.
I felt like a million bucks.

It's the new thing here too.
If I have to say "Don't say the F word" one more time, my tounge is going to fall out of my mouth.
Wait. How DO you spell tounge? Nothing is looking right....

Hormones are rough! I really dread this time of the mth w/ DD esp when DH is gone.

My oldest dd is 11.5, and we are totally seeing the mood swings and everything here, too.

FWIW, the full moon isn't until Saturday. I looked it up tonight after my kids (and the rest of the kids!) went ape shit at the grocery store tonight. Figured it had to be soon!

Maybe we should form a support group!

I was pagan for so many years I still count 2 days before and 2 days after the full moon as the actual thing. If it's good for rituals, it's good fur turning people into nutcases.

I sure wish I knew what to do to help her, but there's nothing short of drugging her that would actually work. It's just this age and development. I think a support group would be fun

Oh, that was more a "dear God we still have two more days of this" than any type of correction.

What should we call our support group?

Sorry you're having a tough day.

Sorry you guys had a rotten day. I remember those days so well, there were 4 of us girls in my house.

I seem to recall my mother force feeding me Midol around that age.
Power through it mama. Maybe you can talk to her about it next week?

Wow. Midol huh? Guess that thought never occured to me. I'm not really one to give out medicine much, but it's sure a thought.......
