okay, i bought some thin and thick cheap fleece at walmart and the water didn't go through in some parts and then a little in others. can i use these or give them to my kids? it was $1 and $2 a yard so i got a couple just to see.

Thanks for answering all my silly questions, y'ALL!

you definitely need 2 layers if you are turning them into diaper covers.

even for the thicker?

you can try to see if it wicks, i use the northern lights fleece, thick but not as thick as the windpro (mind you i've not seen windpro in person) and one layer of NL fleece is fine but it will wick after an hour or so. 2 layers works better since i put both kids overnight in them and all i hv is compression wicking which isnt as bad as it is at all. but from what i find, definitely after making your diapers, throw them in the washing machine first. maybe its me but i dont find them water resistant until they are washed before worn.
