What do you think of Lukas? I like Lucius, but my husband does not... I also like Lukas, but haven't run it by him yet... What's a good name to go with Lukas?
I also like Simon, but Lukas Simon doesn't sound right at all.

In complete seriousness... I'm about to tell you something, and you can't tell anyone else... Seriously... And If I know you IRL, act like you don't know...

The girl name we have picked out is Lilith Suzanne.

SHHH! Don't tell anyone!

i think Simon Lukas sounds nice... you could always call him by his middle name... that's what my parents did.

Your secret girl name is very sweet.

Hmmm...well how about some criteria? I like variants of Luke b/c it means Light.

Lukas James?
Do you have a father/grandfather/husband you'd name him after? Even if you don't like their names you can find combos or variants...whatcha got?

Lukas is a wonderful name.

My husband likes Lucius, but I prefer Luca... so there's a secret for you - Luca is a pick of ours if we have boys
We have some other names for boys, too, and one of them means 'dark' - we're kind of afraid of what would happen if we give them names that are complete opposites, though!!!

I think Lukas Simon sounds nice. And how often is a middle name used with the first in the end? Though it's funny for me to assert this, as many of my friends call me by both my first and middle name. Our boy picks for first names will not necessarily 'go' with their middle names, which are family names (I don't particularly like the middle names, but that's not our priority).

Lukas. Doesn't go with Simon because of the S's. My boy name is Luca.

The problem with using a male family members' name is this:
Our first son has Norman, my grandfathers' name. I can't use my Moms' dads name, one because he's never had anything to do with us, and two because I don't like his name that much anyway. My dads' middle name is Bryan, but my husbands' name is Brian, so that's out. My husband was named Brian David, where David is his fathers name, so if we wanted to do that we would have had to name DS Evan Brian with my maiden name, because that's a tradition in his family with the firstborn. And we can't use DHs' moms' dads' name because DHs' youngest brother is named after him, making it his responsibility to pass the name on.

Oh all these rules...

Maybe Lukas David, or Lukas Brian and my family will just have to suck it up with the spelling. I don't want a Brian Jr, but I guess a David would be alright, we could call him Davey, but I'd prefer to call him Luke or Luka. *SIGH* I didn't think it'd be this hard! You think I'd be spewing boy names out my arse, since I wanted three boys!!

But see, there's one problem there, there's just no way in heck I'm using my dads' spelling of "Bryan", but I know if I spell it "Brian" like my husbands' name, my family will intentionally spell it "Bryan". They're hard enough to get along with, without opening myself up for a fight.

i am obbesesives when it comes to baby names and im not even pregnant, and wont be for at least 2 years.
but i like Lukas and tho Simon doest go well for me for some reason Solomon does. i dunno why, it jsut popped in my head.

i have already picked names for my next kids if i have boys
Jacob-Constantine
or
Nathaniel-Gideon or Gideon-Nathanial (all double barreled names like my other 4 kids)
im mad on coming up with baby names that "confrom" to my rules.

good luck and stuff the family. i would love to thin with the Outlaws think when they find out my youngest is named after MY dads(bio and step) and not DH's dad ON PURPOSE
