Oh Seriously... a 2AM rant

It's after 2AM, I'm still awake... feels like my belly is going to be ripped in half by these babies. If I lay on my left side, it prevents the contents of my stomach from emptying into my mouth BUT it is also the most painful side, baby-wise, as they get into odd positions, put way too much pressure on my center line and tonight, joy of joys, Head-Head discovered my ribs. If I lay on my right side, the baby pains are much less, but then I get to re-eat my dinner, over and over and over again. After a bout of crying and failed attempts to stop the heartburn, I give up. I GIVE UP! Hear that babies? I'm all yours! Now come out and play with my boobies! Boobies are more fun than ripping my stomach muscles apart, pressing against my belly skin, and kicking my ribs!

: I know, I can't imagine having Two in there.

My hips get SUPER painful if I lay on either side longer than a minute or two, so I'll tell you what I've been doing. We have a crib mattress on the floor for DS right next to our full sized bed, wedged between it and the wall. I take an extra blanket we have and put it on DS' bed scrunched up to the top for support and then pile pillows on it like crazy. I have a think foam pillow I put under my bum since it goes numb when I sleep upright, or semi sitting. It also helps relieve the hip pain when on one side or the other...

So I eat a handful of tums, put my bum on the foam pillow, and sink back into my pile with a couple of pillows under my arms too, to elevate them. That way I feel completely supported, not like I'm having to work to keep my head from sagging and making my neck hurt. Sometimes I roll on one side or the other, since this is much more bearable on the foam pillow. A lot of times I sleep with my head on my own pillow on the bed, with the pile of pillows supporting my back. I LOVE it (well, compared to pre-pregnancy it still sucks....) Just a thought. I hope you get some relief soon.

That was me up at 2am. wrote my "sad" post. I got my wish, i feel like CRAP today. nauseated with occasional pains and stetchiness. Blech. I want to feel yucky tho to feel like SOMETHING could happen.

I thought maybe you had your babies today...thinking of you.

I don't get to check in here too often, so I'm just very impressed that you have twins and have been able to keep them cooking in there this long! I'm in awe of women who carry (and raise) twins. Hang in there!
