While I am waiting....what do you think of this name?

No signs of labor yet so we might as well name this baby. LOL

What do you think of Carlisle Rose or Carlyle Rose? Nickname, which would be used most of the time, would be Carly. DH really likes Carly, but I have this thing about needing a full name, so I cant just name her Carly. DS actually likes Carlisle as a full name and he has been hard to please so far.

I think its a pretty girls name but I know some would consider it a masculine name. I am sure we will get some eye rolls from family...but in general if you saw/heard it what would you think? And which spelling is better?

I like it, and I think the first spelling has more of a classic feel to it.

i agree. i think the other could look like car-lis-al in prononuciation. kinda looks odd, but is pretty and could grow on me.

I really like Carlisle (first spelling), and feminine was the first thing that came to mind when reading the name (although I know it's a masculine name too). I think it's really pretty especially paired with Rose.
