Would a baby turn breech at 40 weeks after dropping? A little freaked.

She dropped 2 weeks ago.
I have felt hic-cups realllllyyy low, like deep within. She has been facing my left side and just a couple days ago turned either face up or face down (not toally sure).

Well today i definetly felt hic-cups very very high. i feel a lot less feet kicking and kinda hard lump up on top. I also don't feel as much pressure below.

Maybe i'm imagining it. i haven't felt a TON of wiggles but maybe it happened while i was sleeping??? Does she even have room to do that and WHY would she!?

Sigh. that would mean goodbye VBAC which is SUPER important to me.

Oh I hope its not the case. Do you have a MW who can palpate and use a fetoscope? I find my MWs get pretty good beads on which way the baby is facing when they use the fetoscope b/c it pinpoints the HB so much closer.

Sending all kinds of ~*~HEAD DOWN~*~ and *~*VBAC*~* vibes for you!!!

Oh gosh... I don't want to say this, but anything is possible, right? Can you lay down and palpate your belly to get a better idea of the where-of-the-parts?

I have a fetoscope in my house... too bad you are thousands of miles away...
Sometimes, though, if someone has good ears, the heartbeat can be evident through the stomach (pressing their ear/head down into your tummy with a bit of force) or using a paper towel roll to listen when you are laying down.

i've been palpating all darn day. it does feel different. i have a midwife apt on Wed. Here they have you see whoever is in the office and then whoever is on call when you give birth...so i'll have to wait. its almost midnight. i'm a bit freaked out.

i'll see if my mom can hear the heartbeat tomorrow.

i feel a rolling on top but its not like the two feet bumps that i used to feel...

grrrr.

Try to relax. Breech doesn't always mean losing your VBAC. It all depends on your MW's ability and experience with breech delivery.

My baby is head down and sometimes I feel his hiccups down low and sometimes I feel them more resonating from his back around the middle of my belly. Can you push on the hard lump you feel? If it flexes, it might be a head (and the neck is bending), but if it feels more solid and moves the whole mass, it could be his butt and torso.

uh...hmm. i push on the hard lump but i don't think i'm experienced to tell if there is flexing.

my only thought is maybe i was so used to her being face up and now she is face down so her big butt is in the way and the feet are by my back?

What is throwing me off most is those super high hiccups this morning. i wish she would get them again. i try and feel the head but i'm at a loss (like down low).

I have been reading spinningbabies (AGAIN) and googling but am not finding many answers. i guess this is just another time i have to wait and see. blech.

That is a definite possibility. I can see how the hiccups would feel much higher in that case, too. When do you see your care provider again to find out?

OH LADIES! i am SO relieved!!!! I felt hiccups deep within again (pelvis) and i am now at peace that not only is she NOT breech...but she's in the best position possible!

I am just not used to her facing my back...she has been on her side and turned to face up, and now she's facing down, so i must be feeling her bum and back and usually that area was smooshy...i'm SOOOO Happy. She is ready to be delivered now! (DS was never in the right position!)
