non-stick layer?

I have been making my own dipes mainly using recycled t-shirts. I have been really pleased with them, BUT one downfall, poo sticks pretty badly. I know you can use something synthetic to do a feel-dry type layer (that would also release poos easily) against the skin, but I don't really want synth. Since I don't really care about the stay-dry aspect, what would work well for the non-stick issue? I am thinking that flannel or terry would work OK, but I do want to stay away from too much bulk (flannel wouldn't be too bulky, tho). And of course, recycle material when I can. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

flannel dont work for us at all. maybe its only for breastfed poop. one of my flannel diapers was destroyed since the stain wont come off at all.

i love my microfleece inners though, they are great. my toddler's poop isnt bad and it seems to come off find from regular prefolds and terry.

if you are worried about bulk, depending on what type of diaper you sew/use, maybe you can sew microfleece as a stay dry liner? i am sure there are many other fabrics that are poo resistant but i;ve not tried them since microfleece works best for us.

I'm not a synthetic fan either. Most of our diapers are flannel and it works great for us. I've used flannel diapers on newborns all the way through age four and I haven't had any issues. I have a couple of toddler diapers that might have a light stain from the child eating blueberries or something like that. But really, a little staining doesn't bother me. They are diapers that I've made for my children to pee and poo in and if that causes a light stain - I don't really care. As long as the diaper is clean - we're good. You can add a little bleach to your diapers when you wash them - it won't hurt the PUL (if you have that on your diapers).

Out of the choices of flannel, terry, and t-shirt jersey, poop sticks to t-shirt jersey the LEAST. You'll get even more sticking if you use the other fabrics.

Yeah, it's a pain. But it's part of cloth diapering - you have to deal with the poop, one way or another!
