Home-made bug spray?

Anyone have a wonderful recipe for something natural to keep off the mosquitoes? I know there are a ton of different oils and scents I can blend, but I'd rather avoid the trial-and-error method of formulation. :

I just made some, haven't tried it yet but it does smell good. It's:

1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup hot water
1/8 cup glycerine
35 drops lavender oil
25 drops patchouli oil
30 drops neem oil

I buy a pre-blended essential oil bug repellent for my products, from Brambleberry. I use it in my soaps and bug off lotions. I started using it last year and had really great success with it. Both for my family and had several customers report success with it. HTH

Thanks ladies! I did a little hunting (looked up the ingredients of a commercial natural bug spray) and am going to do a blend like what Sasha_girl posted, with the addition of eucalyptus oil.

Here is another oil to consider, nepetalactone (concentrated catnip). If you can get it. It is supposed to more effective than DEET. I had a study from some university I forget which one South Caroline maybe? Where they found it was extremly effective! HTH
