Fellow Babywearers! Post Action pics & what is your current Stash?? - Page 3

My 19month old likes to walk a ton, but I do sling her in church. Just a plain old ring sling, which seems to be fine for the length of time. I am going to bring my mei tei berry picking and may put her on my back...we shall see...

I would be but he is just getting too big and heavy for me. He is currently almost 1/3 of my body weight and half my height at least! I do wear him for short times now and then, mostly when I am showing someone how to use a carrier he wants in for his snuggle time. He knows how great it feels to be carried by mommy in his comfy carriers!

I love bw'ing too! I'm the leader to the group in my area! I love carriers and I have lots. I have a ton of pouches, a couple ring slings, a couple wraps, quite a few MT's, and 1 SSC. I need to up load the latest pic of me wearing ds at the zoo last Sat. in my new custom Kinder Carry MT! I love it!

Here are some older pics that I have on the computer right now:

Anyone else baby wearing this pregnancy?
I have been lurking on this thread, checking out all the pictures. In this post the carriers you are wearing look so similar to me. Two-shouldered, soft structured, right? What made you decide on one over the other on the given day?

I have a maya wrap that I like when ds was little but as he grew I got a little weary with the one shoulder carry.
I moved to a sutemi pack and really liked it. IMO it looks a lot like the Beco Butterfly.
I just got a Beco Obi, that I am excited about and I am considering a Babyhawk.
So what Mei Tai brand are you wearing in the last picture?

They are very similar to anyone looking but when they are on they really do feel and fit very differently. Also they each have their own learning curve. I personally like my Mei Tai better(but the beco was very comfortable also!) and so does my DD. Not sure why she likes it better, I am assuming it is more comfortable for her but if she is asked which one she wants to be in she will choose the Mei Tai. I can get the Mei Tai on faster and it stores MUCH better in the bottom of my diaper bag! The Beco or any other soft structured carrier (like the ergo) is in my opinion too big to carry in you diaper bag on a regular basis. My Mei Tai is bigger than my pouch but it still fits well.

also check out the review link in my orignal post I went into a lot of detail about how each fit me differently in that thread.

Did you have a maya wrap ring sling?

I have never used a sutemi pack but their are a lot of different brands that look to the outsider a lot alike but their are slight differences in especially the cut of the back panel where the babe sits, the strap padding/length and the waist strap padding/length. Those differences will make a huge difference to the wearer over time. For example I do not fit in an Ergo, I am just too short waisted and petite. The shoulder straps don't have enough adjustment for my body type.

Ooooh I saw that in a baby store the other day and it did peak my interest, I would like to hear how you like it once the babe comes

I bought it second hand off thebabywearer.com for a steal. the only thing it is missing that a lot of moms like is the headrest. I would surely check their first before you buy a brand new one since they are $$$$$.

I have an OTSBH that I actually have used since my 8 yr old was a babe.

I LOVE my Kangaroo Korner adjustable fleece pouch, especially for the small infant stage. I wonder if it will be too warm though, since this is my first summer baby.

I also have a Moby wrap, an Ergo, and a Kozy Mei Tei. The Ergo has worked great even up to age 3. Personally, I prefer the slings and pouches I can just throw on and go. The tying on of the Mei Tei and Moby is a pain, to me.

Yep, I loved my ring sling in those early days but as I tried to do more I wanted a two shoulder carry.

I am excited about the Obi for "popability" I think I will prefer it to a pouch but we'll see.

I think I will eventually get a Babyhawk. I think they are so beautiful.
I am not petite but I prefer the Babyhawk options to the Ergo or Kozy.

Thanks for all the help
