but I did have my baby.

If anyone remembers I was two weeks past my due date and my mw had to turn me over to the OB. Very long story short, I was induced and ended up with a c-section. Very far from the homebirth we had so carefully planned.

But Frank Michael is here. He was born on 4/8/8, 8 lbs. and 5 oz. , 22 inches long. We are both doing well! And he is doing a great job nursing.

I am sorry your birth was not what you had planned, but I am so glad to hear you are both well. You know, the c/s wasn't nearly as horrible as I had feared - I healed rather quickly.

I'm sorry things didn't go as planned. If you care to read my birth story in the birth stories subforum, you'll see that things went pretty much the same for me, too -- transfer to OB at 42 weeks, did an induction, ended up sectioned. Take care of yourself! It's been 3 weeks for me and I'm still very disappointed and often get into little "funks" where I can't stop crying. Time heals all wounds, they say. . we'll see.
