Thanks! I've got a lot more I want to complete though. I've got several covers waiting in the wings for FOE.

I'll probably make more fitteds too. I don't really have any medium fitteds left. Most of them look like swiss cheese as I bought them used and in bad condition so I could get them cheap.

But I figure if I've got the fabric I might as well sew it up!

I am sorry I forgot to say all that! The pattern is the Shar's newborn pattern w/ umbilical scoop but I made them fitted not pocket. http://www.thenappynetwork.org.nz/diy.php

On the fluffy looking ones I use alpine fleece for outer, 2 layers of recycled undershirts with double terry cloth soaker. The other ones are flannel for outer and a layer of birdseye and recycled undershirt attached to a double terry cloth soaker. There is a special story about the recycled undershirts. They were from my husband's grandfather that passed away on my dh's birthday. I took a huge bag of his belonging and got probably 30 of his undershirts. This man was the one who raised my husband, so imagine he was pretty much his father. This diapers are so special since it has a little piece of my dh's grandfather. I got pregnant a month after he passed away...

crap I got to get on that soon!
I did pick up a dozen in Egypt
- egyptian cotton fitteds with rainbow serging for $1 each...
they are aplix I am thinking of converting them to snaps but will probably need some doublers but they are so soft...

other than that I will have to get my order in ASAP...
why do I keep thinking I will be pregnant forever?

I would have gotten 3 or 4 dozen at that price!

You all have inspired me. I just ordered the last of our newborn covers! I want to try to knit some wool covers for the next stage, but I'm new to knitting so I may have to buy some (or all) too.
The handmade dipes are just so pleasing to see. Thanks everyone for sharing and giving me ideas.

Yes, I am doing this too--stripping any ones as I get them FSOT, I really like to HEAT up the 2nd hand ones to get the soap out. Then I will probably toss the whole stash in a light wash and rinse just near end of July. But I will know they are basically already ready before then.

ETA: here's a link to pics of most of my nb and small stash, minus the flats and prefolds and KL0s that need fixing.
