yeah, yeah, I know, blankets, but I know I'm going to want to dress this one . . .

So, would long baby kimonos work? I don't have much time, gotta get sewing!!

i would think t-shirts and t-shirt length tops would be best so there'd be less chance of rubbing. i like the idea of the kimono top. and if their legs are cold, you can use babylegs (or a pair of mama's socks with the feet cut off).

Regular snap-up sleepers worked the best for us (make sure you don't get zippered ones though, lol). You just let the cord come out in the space between 2 snaps at belly button level, it works great.

I am not super familiar with the kimonos, I think we had one of those and it was not good at all while the cord was still attached (since it tied up at the side, you had to run the cord across the baby's body first before it could stick out the side of the outfit).

We just used sleepers. If we had a zip up sleeper then we didn't zip it up all the way. A little more drafty for dd but we weren't going anywhere and she was snuggled up to someone all the time... it worked.

A little ot: Good luck- we thankfully had a super supportive midwife. We ended up in the hospital and the pp nursing staff were less than friendly as a result of our lotus birth. It was kind of a blessing in disguise- we were left alone for the most part
