stop a big swatch of stockinette from rolling?
I don't think so. but if anyone has some suggestions as to what will. . . . .
probably not - you may be able to block it into submission, but it's probably still gonna roll. You could try a few ridges of mitered garter and then put the icord BO on it.

Not if the swatch is knitted flat. Longie legs it will...

It's a shawl...so I did a few rows of garter just to be sure.

I'll still end it in i-cord, just for prettiness sake

hehehe I am doing a shawl also. and it is rolling like crazy. and I am using a varied pattern. I just think anything in flat is going to roll. I hadn't thught opf doping applied I-cord around the edge until you mentioned it but now I am. I doubt it will help the roll but at least when i unroll it it will look pretty

My mom made me a big stockinette shawl and I use the rolled up part like sleeves. It is great.
