Organic Avacado - Baby Klaus update :(

Anna has asked me to update for her.

She is in the PICU with Klaus. He has RSV. He's forgetting to breathe and has severe apnea. They are considered a cpap.

He isn't breastfeeding and is on IV fluids.

She said they will be in the hospital for about a week.

It's been a very rough night, they took him in yesterday to the Pediatrician who then decided to transfer him via ambulance to the hospital. Then, he was transferred to a children's hospital and is now in the PICU. It's been rough.

She's asking for thoughts, prayers, good vibes, anything positive

Thank you so much. I'll keep you updated if I find out anything else.

thanks for updating here abby, i wasn't sure if i should post something or not. my sidekick wouldn't let me note her on OD, so tell anna I'm thinking of her and klaus and that I'm sending them lots of good vibes and to let me know if she needs anything. <3

Peeking in from May ddc...my last son had this too! It was so scary and hard, but he got strong quickly and was back to normal and bfing again within a week. I hope and pray for your little family! Hang in there mama! Best wishes for you both.

Im home for a little while. I couldn't take being there and watching him suffer and not being able to comfort him.

He is being intubated. He had 18 episodes of apnea in 22 minutes this morning. He just simply stops breathing and stops struggling and I know he's tired because we've been doing this for a few days. Thank god I took him when I did. Always listen to your gut mamas. Its always right.

Thanks for letting us know what's going on. I was wondering why we hadn't heard from Anna lately. :-/ I'm thinking of you guys and wishing Klaus a speedy recovery. After the start he's had, he'll be one of those kids who NEVER gets sick I bet!
