Can Crochet but need guidance for shorties.

Okay I took a couple of 100% wool sweaters my husband had and made soakers for my son out of them. I LOVE THEM. They breath and are pretty much water proof. So I want to crochet him some because finding more wool is proving to be hard but I did find wool yarn. Can anyone tell me an easy wool shorties pattern? If so can I ask for help when I need it or is there a good website that can show me?

Yes check out ladybuz.ca. I bought my pattern from her and it is easy to do also she will help you with any questions or don't understand the pattern. She is an email away. She answer very quickly and great response too.Believe me I had to asked her bunch questions by email. Now that I know how to make one I can do as many as I want. I love them.

I'm about to try my first set of shorties but knitted. I like thinner weight yarn for crochet, since it comes out a bit thicker than knitting anyway. It's hard to find natural fibers in a craft store and I've wound up ordering fingering weight wool from knitpicks. Good luck with your shorties!

the diaperpages.com website has links to all sorts of free crochet and knit cover patterns all over the web. I was just looking at that this morning! Please let us know what pattern you end up using and if you like it

I like the dandelion dreamers pattern better than the ladybugz, the ladybugz guesset never worked out after the first pair. Not sure why.

And, I only bought the DD 2 weeks ago, made 1 from the instructions, and have adapted the pattern for me, and it's quick. I finished a pair last night that I started on Wednesday.
