DD had a skin test and tested positive for Milk, egg, wheat, and barley. Would not that include all beef products?

No, the way I understand it is that if you are allergic to beef then you are also allergic to cow millk. Not necessarily vice-versa. You can be allergic to dairy and not beef.

Seperate allergies. Just like being allergic to eggs doesn't mean you're allergic to chicken. (although you can be )

I hope you have an emergency action plan & epi pen (jr.)

It's possible- DD has a reaction to dairy AND beef.

A milk allergy is a true histamine response to proteins in dairy. These are casein and whey. I'm pretty sure these are completely different proteins than would be in beef meat.

Also, FYI, it's likely that her allergy to wheat and barley may actually be an allergy to molds that grow on the grains.

I don't think that it's necessarily the same allergy (for dairy and beef.) But it is possible that having one allergy will predispose you to having the other. The same thing with soy- many kids that are allergic to cow's milk will also have an allergy to soy. According to Wikipedia, "between 13% and 20% of children allergic to milk are also allergic to beef."
