That was torture. Leaving us disconnected in the middle of baby-having time! I hope everyone is doing well!!! And I hope the server really is fixed now

Just to explain what occured. During the transfer to the new database the tables reverted to the original engine which in turn meant that during general site operations they would become locked and in turn cause slowness for the website.

To correct this we had to repair the tables and drop the fulltext search indexes before we could convert, however due to the fact it was just migrated and was not using the old engine this meant that the repair process took a VERY long time.

We initially placed the website back online first as it was only the forum tables that required the rest of the wait.

Once it completed we carried out the final work and now as you see the forum is back online. That should be everything completed and we can finally put the server issues behind us.

MDC Admins Rock! Although I admit to cranky-ness over the weekend, I am genuinely happy that there exists such a wonderful FREE website. I get way more than I pay for.

I am also happy it's back up and running! I've been going insane with it down. Yeah I know... i have no life. lol. You guys are my friends!

Too bad the smiles and some of the other clickable things aren't working right. Hmm... I'll live with it though if it means I can still post and read posts.

Not in this DDC but I was thinking: OMG, in the April DDC this maintenance must have been a nightmare!

These are working fine, if they do not work for you this will be a local issue. I would ensure your browser has javascript support first.

That is sooooo true isn't it? Its like a fix for me, i check in the morning, at lunch and before bed for abot 20 minutes each...it IS a fix for me!
