which top do you like better?

I want to make dd a fairy dress for her birthday this month. I plan on doing the skirt from Zoe Mellor's book but can't decide if I should do the top from that book or Monica from Knitty. What do you think?

I like the one on knitty. I think you should do butterfly wings form living crafts too. just my unsolicited advice.... (because I just got my copy and have to make them too and your fairy tops would be perfect with it!)

I think the Zoe Mellor one It's simpler and more fairy-like.

I've done Monica and love the fit and look of it. I'm partial to that one. I think the other top looks......like an 80's knockback and a poorly done one at that. I could J. Lo wearing it with some leggings to dance in.

Another vote for the knitty top (but either top would work beautifully.)
