2 Days Past Due Date!

So I am now two days past my due date, which may not seem like much but I gotta say, it sure feels like it! My EDD is based on when I know I had unprotected sex and that's actually putting the sperm living a full 5 days, so in my head, my dd really was probably closer to a week ago. I wouldn't mind so much except that I have to keep working until I literally go into labor (or else I won't be able to pay June's rent). I'm going absolutely crazy! I have false labor all the time, for two weeks! My mw says this is great and that my labor will be much easier because I'm doing all this work ahead of time but in the moment, it sure doesn't feel great. My mw will let me go until the second week in May before thinking about induction (which I really don't want) so I may have a looooong time to go!

Oh wow! I didn't know we had any "post date" ladies. Don't worry, your baby will be here in no time! I just can't believe how much time has flown... to have 40+ weekers. Wow!!

Good luck mama! I know that I am really terrified of not going into labor. However, I'm not due until this Friday so I still have a few more days to go before I completely start to freak out. Do we want to make this a support thread for "past due" mamas? I know if I end up not having this baby this weekend I'll need a lot of support.

Can you make an appointment for a treat for yourself, like a massage, manicure/pedicure or something like that? It will give you something to look forward to ... and I gotta say, more times than not at least in my experience with friends, baby usually arrives a day or two ahead of the planned pampering!

I saw my mw today and she said that after 42 weeks there can be some fetal distress so she would be happy to induce at 41 weeks. Her method of induction is herbs, nipple stimulation (not by her ;-), and at the most extreme, stripping the membranes. I feel much better knwing that I won't be pregnant for more than 2 more weeks!

I think I posted this elsewhere tonight too, but remember only about 5% of moms actually go on their due date. It's guess work.
