Some newborn knitting... FINALLY!

I felt like I was doing this poor baby a disservice because I hadn't knit him anything yet : I've been a lil busy lately

First, a curly purly soaker-

Yarn is Ky Baby Knits BBR Merino
Size small
Needles 4,6,8
(it isnt uneven, ellie was pulling it away from me and didn't want me to take a picture, I'll take a better one later after washing and lanolizing)

Next another curly purly soaker-

Yarn- BFL from UberKnits on Hynea Cart
Colorway- Fountain Grass
Needles- 4,6,8
Size- Small.

Next some Picky Pants-

Size small
Elastic waist (not in yet so the waist looks big)
Needles 6,8
Yarn is BFL from Wooly Wonders by Nada

Next, a pair of Picky Shorts-

Yarn is one ply merino from mosaic moon on hyena cart
Colorway is something like woodland tale but I thought it reminded me more of garden gnome colors

I intended these to be longies but the pooling drove me nuts, and when I split for legs they started to be drastically different, so i decided they are shorts instead

And finally another pair of Picky Pants, this time using yarn I just recently got in the MBOY swap

Picky Pants
Yarn- HPY bulky merino
Needles- size 8
Size- small

these are so soft and squishy! I love them I got 3 balls of this yarn in the swap and only used 1 ball exactly for these pants, so I have 2 left to decide what to make next, maybe a lil sweater, I dunno

thanks for looking

Mama, these are gorgeous!!! Your lo will be so comfy cozy. I am ordering a bunch of purewool in the coop to knit for LO due Aug 1, but now I want some of those other yarns....LOL

I have always wanted to order BFL from WWBN.

And, I really like those curly purly soakers. May have to make some for my LO.

How much yarn did you end up using for these bitty sizes?
What size/age range do you think the small might fit--I'm guessing it will take a little while for a nb to grow into the smalls, right? But I guess that's the idea if you're due in the heat of July. No?

Thanks

Yarn used- I think each one was less than a skein ,maybe half?, I'm sure I have enough of each color to do another soaker if needed. I usually buy two skeins of each color anyway. I didn't weigh anything though

Sizes- I made smalls because I have in the past knit newborn soakers or longies for friends and they let me know that the items didn't fit more than a few weeks, one actually got to use hers for a few months but she had a smaller babe, so I figured too big for a lil while is better than too small right away

Beautiful! I love the green Curly Purly soaker. You have inspired me to get knitting! I have the pattern marked in my Ravelry queue, but haven't started it.
