Clean House

I don't know how many people watch Design shows but last night I was watching Clean House. I don't know what for after the whole CIO promotion I really didn't care for it anymore. But last night I happened to catch them talking about a co-sleeping family with a two year old. OF course the design team members had to give their Unneeded and Uninformed opinion of co-sleeping. Then came the subject Breastfeeding. I am down right furious with the ignorance these cast members exhibited toward its audience and the family. It was clear from the reaction that they didn't know anything about extended breastfeeding. Of course the host thinks she's top dog of mothering, because well she has kids herself.
I have thought about writing the show and letting them know about what the WHO has to say about Extended breastfeeding and the studies on co-sleeping and of course everything AGAINST what they are promoting to the parents who fall victim this shows cast members.

That's not the first time I've seen a complaint about that show. I wonder if it was the same episode...

It can't hurt to write a letter. Just to inform them if nothing else.

What? Did they actually say stuff to the family? If they had tried that w/me I GUARANTEE that would have resulted in a MAJOR ratings boost for them...assuming they showing the fallout.

I tell ya, I have been meaning to post about that show for over a month now. The one with the Chech lady still co sleeping and BFing her 2 year old actually was NOT that bad, compared to the one I saw where the host berated and didn't drop it about baby's Amby Hammock and co sleeping and nursing.

I told my DH last night that I was very glad we don't live in LA, because I would have them come over and make that woman feel lower than a speck of dirt.

I like the show, but I agree that they are way too obsessed with everyone's own "space"

I agree--this attitude on the cast members' part is a shame, because otherwise, I really like the show. The hostess--Neesy (sp?)--is so funny and personable most of the time--she just has these really weird ideas about personal space that she feels the need to share with the families on the show.

Yeah...I don't know...I'm really miffed about those statements too. I've heard her make them several times, usually only in the "next episode" segments so I haven't been exposed to the full force of them. This show is the ONLY way to get my DH motivated clean! I need this show!

But but but...I just like Neicy Nash so much! whine whine whine...
