Boy names starting with E?

Any suggestions? I'd rather avoid overtly Christian-sounding names, but I'm not totally closed to the idea.

DH and I scanned through the entire list of masculine E names on behindthename.com last night, but we're still at a loss (not sure why E; this was DH's idea).

Emilio is one of my favorite names, but not G's, so alas, no Emilio.

Our baby's name is going to be Eion (like Ian, but the gaelic way instead of the germanic way). You can steal it if you want, but if we ever see him, we're staking claim (not on him, on the name)

My nephew's name is Elliott, I love it.

I also love Ethan.

Eli, Elias, Elijah and Ezra are all cute, but are biblical.

Ellison and Emerson are kind of cute. Emery, Emmett or Everett are kind of cute too.

And of course there is Eric, but that reminds me of my generation.

We have a bumper crop of Ethans around here, in case that matters to you.

Popping in from August We're going with Elias, but another one we liked was Erasmus, it's Greek meaning beloved; we also liked Emmett.

Eric would be unusual now! Dh's friend Erich (cool spelling) says there is no way to make fun of the name.

thanks ... keep 'em coming! I'll have to go over some of these with DH tonight-- lots of good ideas here.

Eric is my dad's name, which would be cool, but it was also DH's (annoying) college roommate who incidentally looks just like the bad guy on Heroes, so I think that's a no go for us.

Speaking of Emery, I heard a great name on TV the other night: Emre (it's Turkish, sounds about like Emery/Emory), but DH vetoed it...

I really like Emerson, but I worry he'd get called Em, and then Emily ... Irrational probably.

Okay; I'm going to add some of these to our list.
