yesterday i had a conversation with dd,4.5. i called her from the mall to tell her i had bought her some chocolate. it went something like this:

me"i got you some chocolate to eat when i get home"
her"is it organic?"
me "i'm sure it is."
her "does it have partially hydrogenated oil"
me "i don't think so"
her"didn't you read the ingredients?"
me"I'll go back and read the ingredients.''

Way to go mammas!!!

I love it when our children let us know they are listening!!! I hear similar from my 8.5 and 6 yo.

From the first story, I am impressed at B and little friend's ability to change the subject and carry on without calling names.

Maybe wew shoudl listen to them a little better.

What a clever little boy you have there. I agree that we could all learn a thing or two, about getting along with others, from our children.

:LOL

That is so funny... I'm Miss Organic too... in won't be long until we start having the same conversations.

DS is so cute.... we'll go out and he'll point to Fritos (cheesos - whatever) and announce that Lukie has them at his house (and of course they serve it to him but knows I won't offer it to him... or any other candy... "Why?" "Because it's not good for your teeth...." He accepts it. My rule is 1 candy a day IF offered (I usually try to divert his attention or keep the stuff away from him.)

I gotta stop listening to Howard Stern. I enjoy it... but DS is too old now. When I try to look for NPR, I can't find it!

My teen posts on a message board, and I noticed in her sigline that she had a No War message
