Anyone else feeling pretty good?

Thread Starter
At the risk of getting my preggo butt kicked by many other preggo butts, I have to ask if anyone else is feeling pretty good at this point? Or am I just weird?! I'm a little over 37 weeks and, I have to say, out of my 3 pregnancies, this is the best I've felt at this point in the game. Aside from feeling pretty wiped out by 7pm, I really have no complaints. I've even been sleeping better the last few nights. *knock on wood* My back does get a bit sore if I overdo it (no more walking DS to and from preschool -- can only do one or the other), but it's nowhere near as bad as it was before I started seeing my chiro.

Sooooooo . . . anyone else feeling good? Or should I be running for cover?!

I am too, really. A couple of minor complaints, but nothing too big. I have some back pain, but that's usual for me so I don't count that! I'm just over 35 weeks here and finally starting to have trouble moving and bending but nothing that is bothering me.

Out of my 3 pg's this is the 'easiest' one for me too, and I've been seeing a chiro as well. I swear it has made all the difference. I've gained the most weight this time around BUT I can move so much better and in general just feel better. I sleep better now than I did before I was pg!

Hope you keep feeling well! I think this is a great start to labor and hope we both keep feeling well.

My first was a 41 weeker, and by then I was so done. I can honestly say I was miserable. I was tired, cranky, etc and I don't think that was a good place for me to be in going into an overnight labor.

Maybe there are more of us, if not we'll stick together!!

I do but im only 35w3d. I felt much worse a month ago before the chiro. I have moments where theres too much pressure and my hips kill when I sleep but most of the time I feel great. I just wanna have my baby to meet him/her, not because im miserable. People dont seem to believe me when I say that.

yes! I fact, the reason I am quoting you is because I could have written your post myself, word for word! I'm a little over 37 weeks, I'm feeling great, sleeping better, back gets sore if I overdo it ... and I'm seeing a chiro!

I haven't experienced much swelling at all either. So, you're not alone!

I feel ok EXCEPT when I wake up in the morning or get up after sitting for a long time. OMG I am so stiff and sore but after moving around a while it feel OK.

I'd say I'm feeling pretty good, as long as you don't count the evenings. My only real complaint is digestive issues. I have them when not pregnant too, but the shifting of organs seems to have made them way more uncomfortable.

At night I get irritable, tight belly, restless legs... until I manage to fall asleep (but then, I too have been sleeping better than I have in months). Days are pretty good, though!

I am feeling wonderful, I am sleeping better, I am enjoying all the dancing in my belly, no issues just minor feet swelling and thats all. I feel like this is the best stage of pregnancy so far. I feel great, I have the big belly, I can feel the baby move all over the place, and every one opens doors for me I am loving life right now.

I'm feeling good also. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and of my 5 pregnancies, this has been the most comfortable this late in the game. I even told my midwife a couple of weeks ago that my only concern is that I AM feeling so good!

add me to the 'doing good' club, lol. i too am seeing a chiro regularly this pg. i truly believe THAT is the difference. i don't even have swelling yet to speak of. . .usually hits at 37weeks for me but not really anything to mention. if i press REAL hard on my ankles i get a discoloration for a second, but man, it IS spring and I swell up when I'm NOT pg in spring, lol.

i am expecting to deliver around 42-44weeks, so i'm glad i'm doing good thus far.

BettyAnn
36yrs old and 'up' 50 lbs this pg but that's typical for me. . .
37w2d today. . .

ps actually had a gal in the medical office wehre i take my kids 2x week for speech therapy comment on the lack of swelling - AND she was all amazed at how I can bend over and pick stuff up, lol. . .that and move fast - my kids are QUICK! (i have 2 and 4yr old)

I am doing pretty good at the moment to, only a couple of minor discomforts, and i do tend to get tired easily. Oh and dont ask me to move to fast, sometimes it takes me a couple of mins to get out of the chair, but i figure i can live with that. I also see chiro and i have only had very mild hip and pelvic pain, and that is because bub is engaging.

38wks tomorrow and feeling good here too! actually loving the appetite part of it, ive never enjoyed food this much!! :

the only thing for me is getting tired easier, like after doing too many things at once or climbing two flights of stairs in one shot, i have to sit down and catch my breath for a minute. other than that, pregnancy and pregnant body is good.

i have started to feel bursts of energy recently, cant get to sleep on time, i go past 11pm and have to wake up at 6am. and sleep fine in between.

glad to hear you ladies are feeling well also!!

I'm 39 weeks today and still feeling really good. The heartburn has all but disappeared and Spring is finally here...a great time to have a baby!

On a side note, DH and I were out driving around this weekend and passed by a farm that had some cows in the field. One of the mothers must've just given birth maybe 5 minutes before we drove by, because he was still on the ground and she was licking him all over. Ten minutes later we had turned around and were passing the same farm again and the little calf was now standing up all wobbly while the mom kept licking him. It was such a sweet thing to see, and I bet if we had been driving down the road a couple of minutes sooner we would've witnessed the actual birth. It's so cool to see birth in such a natural, everyday, yet amazing event. The way it's supposed to be, for sure.

I'm feeling pretty good, too, despite the prodromal labor and false alarms! I felt so miserable last week that I really didn't think I could get through the pregnancy, but now that I'm so close to the end, I've got a shot of energy and optimism that's making me care less about the cramping and general discomforts. It's funny because really I have a lot more to complain about physically right now, but because I'm feeling better emotionally I'm not caring as much. It's just so exciting.

My visits to the midwife always remind me how good I'm feeling since common questions always include...

How are you sleeping? Great except waking up to pee constantly!

Any swelling? Nope!

I've also been really fortunate not to experience the leg cramps and fibroid pain that I did with dd, so I really feel like I'm "sitting pretty" at this point...a little back pain and fatigue are quite minor compared to that, so I am feeling pretty darn good!

I feel like I've had a fairly easy time the whole pregnancy. My biggest issue was tiredness but that is gone now. I never felt out of breath which surprised me a lot because I'm short waisted. Havent had any hip or lower back pain either.

I had a kickass dance lesson (flamenco) yesterday.

I'll be 39 weeks on Friday.

I have actually started feeling a lot better since I finished school. Not having that commitment has meant I can rest when I want, get more physical activity, focus on the pregnancy and the baby coming, etc. That has made a world of difference for me. It's 4am here and I'm up with insomnia but finally I don't care coz I can sleep later on if I want while DD is at preschool.

I don't know what is going on and I am certainly NOT going to question it ... but the last two nights, I have been able to sleep through the night from bedtime to wakeup without having to pee! I wake up and my bladder is ready to explode, but hey, that is a price I will happily pay for an uninterupted night's rest. Of course now I'm worried that I may pee myself and not be sure if it's water breaking or my bladder giving way

Me too! Feeling great at 38.5 weeks! Just a few minor "oops, I over did it" spells, but that's it! Not too shabby ladies! Let's cross our fingers that things stay this way til the end!

I'm in the same boat, I really have no complaints. This pregnancy really has been very uplifting for me and positive. I'm 40 weeks tomorrow but I feel good, and I'm still going to work (still not getting a seat on the train). Starting tomorrow I will be working from home until the birth...
