Laundry help please - stain on DD's birthday dress

We bought my DD's birthday dress too early. I knew it would be too much for her not to wear it. So, DH let her wear it on a bike ride last night Of course, the hem was touching the bike tire and is now all black.

The dress is 100% cotton - bright yellow with flowers so, a big black spot on the back hem is very noticeable.

I soaked it overnight in dish washing detergent, scrubbed the area with a tooth brush and just washed it and it's faded a little bit but hasn't come out.

Now what? Any suggestions?

I have always found a plain bar of Ivory soap is like magic! It's worth a try...

Hanna Andersson recommends Fels Naptha bar soap. Do you have any of that? It can be hard to find.

I have poor luck myself w/getting stains out. I'm like you, I soak them and all I do is make the garment fade

Bac-out odor and stain remover from BioKleen may work...
