20wks measuring 27wks...thought's on this...twins?

I saw my midwife today and i'm 20weeks but measured in at 27weeks...2 different midwives measured me and they both got the same measurements. That's a huge overage. A month ago i was measured one week over...and now 4 weeks later i'm 7 weeks over. I've also gained 10lbs in the past month, been extremely tired. She did say that there are several reasons that could explain the huge overage....the baby grew alot in the past month, twins, fibroids/tumor, off on my dates. I have no hx of fibroids or tumors, I used basal body temp...so i know when i got preggo's... 7weeks of growing in one month? Could it be twins? I had a u/s when i was aorund 9-10 weeks...but the u/s was done in Mexico...and not as thorough as we do here in the states. I am back in the states now and am thinking about getting another u/s. She said we could wait another month and she would be able to feel 2 babies then or i could get a u/s here to see what the cause of 7 weeks overage really is. I feel huge really i do. Looking back i had the worst morning sickness...it was horrible, i've never had it that bad. I've also gained 20lbs since i've been pregnant. Any one else been that far over your actual weeks and it not be twins?

I've been measuring ahead for a while this PG. Just one very BIG baby and very BIG placenta. Presently (35 1/2 weeks) I'm measuring 49cm (versus 35 or 36) and they're figuring baby to be 7lbs already.

My DD was born at 34 1/2 weeks and weighed 7lbs. My dates were accurate. Some babies just get big fast!

My brother was a HUGE baby. He weighed 12 lbs and was 24 inches long... at birth. Mom's docs tried to tell her that she was going into labor early. You could just have a big baby.

its very possible its a big baby, but it could also be twins. any family history of twins at all? Sometimes its just a fluke though

If it were me, I'd get the ultrasound, but I'm also very nosey when it comes to seeing inside my uterus (so curious lol)

I have been measuring about 10 weeks ahead, I have polyhydramnios which is excess amniotic fluid. It has been making me pretty miserable. I have been complaining quite a lot.

I had the u/s.
