May 8th it is!

Well, I have come to terms with it and the C/S is scheduled for May 8th @ 8:00a.m.
It is odd to have it all scheduled out but I guess convenient :
Baby is still transverse so it is a necessary C/S.
I am happy though really I am! So very excited to meet the baby! I plan on having all kinds of talks with him/her about being ready and all that fun stuff
We have it planned that no one will visit us for 2 days too! The whole family is being awesome about it even the IL's! I think they understand that this time I just want to bond and breastfeed without feeling like I have to entertain! When my Dad asked if I was sure I told him he is welcome to come see my boobies, but I'm not covering them! : He just stammered and said no I think I'll wait!

Now we just need to find a name...ANY NAME!!

I hear you on the c-section, glad you are ok with it. I think being in a good place beforehand helps with recovery , I know it did when I had one with DS#2.

That's a good way to make sure you have some quiet for a couple of days!!

Awww, you will have your newest little one on the same day that my oldest turns 12

Congrats on having a date to meet your little one and that you are coming to a good place with the cesarean.

That's the date I am scheduled for as well!

I'm guessing you've had 2 vaginal deliveries already? and this will be your first c/s?

Can you at least check out:

http://spinningbabies.com/index.php?...d=21&Itemid=32

and try some of the suggestions? It might help correct your baby's malposition so that a c/s is not even necessary. You have time to do this before the c/s date. . .

Another thought - can you find a chiropractor experienced in webster technique and commit to going a few times? that might help loosen up the ligaments and align your pelvis better so baby can have space to change position, too. ..

hoping it works.

i've had 2 c/s and they're not fun. esp since there are long term complications that the doc may not tell you about - like bowel resections needed down the road, bladder adhesions, etc. . . i've thrown blood clots both times I've had my c/s. very scary and not something the docs tell you about. .. ((hugs))

sorry. I just don't want you to have unnecessary surgery unless you've exhausted all other options first. ((hugs))

Please know that I am saying all this because I truly care and don't want you to hurt for months. . .esp with other little ones in the house. it's hard to heal with little people who need you to do stuff when you can barely walk for weeks. ..

Another reason I'd like you to try to avoid that first cut is because if you desire more children it's REAL hard to have a vaginal delivery after a c/s now. Very few docs will 'allow' it. They say they will, but my experience has been when you get pg again, the same doc will change the tune and say it's not possible or will find reasons why you shouldn't/couldn't vbac. . . ((hugs))

((hugs))

Sorry I should have put this in the OP but no it is my 3rd C/S.
I have done the spinning babies love the site but it didn't do too much for me.
We had a U/S and spotted several fibroids and a cyst on my cervix and my Dr thinks the baby is just most comfortable in this sideways position. I am really at peace with the c/s and luckily DH has 3 WEEKS off to help out!

((hugs)) I pray you have an easy recovery and no complications then.

You already know the drill - take the meds on time whether or not you feel pain - at least for the first 5 days. . .

and resist the urge to clean after the section - no matter how sticky the floor gets, ok? ((hugs))

Love,
BettyAnn
