Ouch. Painful PP Ovulation? Help.

Hi ladies,

I was wondering if you could help me.
I just got my first PP AF about 2 1/2 weeks ago. My son is nearly 16 months. About halfway through last month I started getting really sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I couldn't figure it out. I thought vaguely it might be ovulation.
Then right now I am getting the same sharp pain, its quite annoying and distracting at times. I definatly think its me ovulating.
I never had a painful ovulation before I had DS. I never even noticed.

Have any of you noticed that your ovulation is painful now you have had kids?

Do you think its normal?

Do you think there could be something wrong because it hurts so much? My family has a history of ovarian cysts and I am worried since I havn't been on the pill....

YES! I have had the worst ovulation pains ever, my DD is almost 20 months, but I got AF back at 9 weeks PP(yuck). A couple months back I had the worst though, I felt so bad, almost nauseated ugh... I was great when I was pg, but after birth my body went really wacky, I had migraines while nursing almost constantly, the worst PMS of my life and just all around not feeling well. Since I weaned my DD my headaches has drastically declined, but I still have some around my period and I also have those ovulation pains.

My ovulatory pains have been markedly worse since giving birth. I would compare the pain to that of an ovarian cyst, but it only lasts for a few hours (thankfully!).

Since DS was born I've only had 3 ovulations. I've noticed a heavy, crampy, tender feeling for 2-3 days before each one. This last time (Monday), I also had some sharp pains from the ovulation itself, I believe, including achiness on the same side all day today (Wednesday). Weird.
