What we're doing to encourage the baby to be born sooner rather than later - Page 3

I am focusing on getting this fluid out of my system. Resting and being active in a good balance to keep my feet from swelling too much. I have been eating pineapple, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I've been drinking mama tea my whole pregnancy. DH seems to want to DTD but falls asleep as soon as he wakes me up. Grrrr. Plus, I am pretty uncomfortable so no big rush there.

The lady at the health food store said I look "ripe", I agreed. Nice way to put it.

I realized I still have some things to do. Picked up the double stroller today and will pack my hospital bag today. I also need to order some nursing pads, I have always had serious letdowns and can't stand disposable ones.

After next week when I hit 40 weeks I'll be looking at some other inducing options. I am sure the MW will be wanting to talk about induction at the hospital.

Mine too! I had a nearly 42 weeker(not induced) who was born at 7.7# and is he's very small and scrawny- 24pds at just over 2yo. But he's certainly not sickly! He was actually losing weight inside me because his skin was baggy on him at birth. So sometimes cooking longer is not always better!!!

hey! I got a great cure for that! wanna take over for a bit? it only involves daily vomiting and not being able to drink even half as much water as I need to..

my toenails are starting to fall off and my skin is flaky and wrinkly, but no swelling!

Have you tried meditating on being open?? It helps me so much...I feel it really helps to keep me focused on my goal (a healty baby and momma) and I really think it is helping my body to prepare. Also, it really helps me to keep peace about me, and not let the intense waiting sensation to creep under my skin and make me crazy!

Good luck to you...super labor vibes coming your way. I seriously just *know* that this is all going to work for you and that you will have your VBAC! I know it!!
Thank you so much! I am going to take your advice. I've been having some prelabor, so that's encouraging. I feel a strong connection to my baby kicking and struggling inside. I try to remember that he will start the process when he's ready, and I have the feeling he will do his part to be born as speedily as possible.

Peaceful labor vibes to you too! ~~~~~~ You're going to have that sweet baby in your arms before you know it.

My first baby was 19 days late and I had to be induced and I really want to avoid that again so i am doing like, everything and anything..
*sex
*walking
*spicy foods
*epo (2500mg orally 500mg vag.)
*acupuncture & acuprssure
*yoga
*2 homepathics (callophylum and can't rememebr the other..)
*sex and nipple stim...
seriously nothing is working. I am 40 weeks and 1 day. I just have to be patient and let her come out when she's ready... waiting is hard though. and I am so sick of all the well meaning comments made by strangers and friends! I think I won't leave the house tomorrow just so I can chill and have a comment free day!

I'm not really doing anything other than trying to visualize going into and being in labor. I'm 39w4d.

I will say, DD was "right on time" so I am getting very antsy. I was more prepared to go late with her than I am with this one. Also, since I went through that whole breech fiasco, I'm even MORE anxious to have the baby out...though I've been feeling more confident in the baby staying head down for the past several days. My head just keeps saying "May 1 would be nice...even May 3 (as I have 2 other family members with that birthdate)...and I could handle Cinco de Mayo" but I tell ya, anything past that might annoy me. I know, not a good attitude to have but it is what's been running through my head

I'm 38 weeks. I had sex once, last week. Nothing happened. I got discouraged and decided I didn't want to do that again.

I'm scheduled for my c-section on the 8th. I'm leaving it at that. I cook, I clean, I even walk sometimes (usually chasing ds#2) but that's as far as it goes. I got checked today and I'm still up high and closed and I don't the energy to try anything else.

Epo and RRL tea for me.......I've only been induced/augmented so I have NO idea what my body will do on it's own but I haven't gone early yet, so if I can "prep" it a little, I don't mind trying these things. Sex too, but mostly because we don't know when it will be our *last time* so we wanna be sure to get one more in....hehehehe. I have to wait until Sunday to have him when my midwives come back from a conference, but in all honesty, I really, really need to go these last two weeks because I developed, out of the blue, a horrendous hemorrhoid 2 days ago. It hurts soooooo bad. I've been using Tucks and taking witch hazel/epsom salt baths twice a day since the 'rhoid aka Roy D. appeared (yes, it's severe enough to be named!). I cannot IMAGINE going into labor and pushing with this awful growth! Anyone have any other remedies I could try? I can't even do my Kegels anymore because it hurts too bad to clench! : (
