Knitty surprise!

I am *so* making this sweater (after I finish my dd's socks, my tee and sweaters for my friends' twins...)

I really like Froot Loop (the other surprise pattern) and I actually have a skein of Sockittome on hand, but I can't imagine knitting it on US2s. I've never worked with it before, can anyone advise me? I haven't swatched or anything, but it looks like a standard fingering weight to me, which I knit on 0s. Maybe 1s.

I usually knit fingerling yarn on #2's. The fabric is probably a bit looser, but not terribly so. I'm generally happy with the results.

I'm intrigued by those socks too. I'm thinking they'd be pretty with a solid color yarn.

Thanks, Beth. I have actually started winding my yarn into a ball, and I think I'll try it with the 2s (only b/c I have socks OTK on my 1s and 0s!) - might add a repeat since I have big feet. Or maybe theyll be cinderella socks. Thanks for your input!

I love that pattern. I can see it looking fantastic with oddball skeins of handspun, too...

I also love FrootLoop - I have several semi-solid skeins of sock yarn that would work beautifully. I like the shape of Tempest, but not so much the stripes... perhaps in a handpainted yarn??

That's super cute!
