Im sorry people are badgering you about the next baby. I really wonder why people care SO MUCH about the size, shape, and even the pace at which another family grows so much.
As soon as my son started to walk, people started doing this to me as well.

That's me too. DS will be 2 in October and then I will start TTC.

i'm having one of those days where i feel like i might die if i don't get pregnant. as i previously posted, we are tentatively waiting until february because i would like to have a kick ass 30th birthday, but my best friend's baby is 3 weeks old and i am dying here people. dying. i must be ovulating. all i think about is being pregnant.

bellymama, what about your birthday are you wanting to do that you wouldn't be able to do while preg? Drinking and such? I actually found out I was pregnant on my 30th birthday (at which time I was also on my honeymoon) and I have to say, nothing else could have topped that!!

If you are waiting just so you can party, go party over the next couple of weeks, call it an early 30th gift to yourself, and get busy with getting pregnant!!

PS: I *LOVE* your sig. Love it.

yay! glad someone else likes it too! and yes, pity party away. i just called up my DP in montreal and didn't even say hi just:

me: "do you like sonnet?"
him: "what? do i like sonnets? isn't that a poem or something?"
me: "yes, it's a type of poem, shakespeare wrote a lot of them, but as a name, do you like sonnet as a name?"
him: "oh a name! yeah it's cool... you're weird."

and we're not TTC for 3-4 YEARS. oye.

Lol akaisha! ....those are the types of conversations my DH has had to deal with for nearly the past 3 years! lol

We are talking about TTC around February or March. We'll see though.

lol akaisha I told my husband that I am going to make him listen to at least 5 names a day between now and the day our future baby is born because the only names he can come up with are sarah, rebecca, jessica and katherine for girls and Jack and Owen for boys.
Not saying those aren't nice names but seriously thats all he has? He says well how many do we need, he doesn't get it for me a name is something that requires hours of searching and reflection. We laugh about it though so I guess that is good

I completely understand. My husband and I used to take a lot of long car trips because of where we lived and i would use them to go through all the baby names that i liked at the time. He put up with it pretty well tho. We are going for Eli at the moment for a boy, but won't be ttc for a while yet so that might change.
We find movie and dvd credits at the end are great places to find interesting names.

Boys:

Can I jump in here?

btw I love your list of names akaisha- I have a DS named Lochlan!

I am starting to feel the itch to be pregnant again. My son will be 2 in a couple weeks and it was our original plan to ttc this July, BUT that was before the terrible toddler phase started. I find my self contantly frustrated so adding another baby to the mix might not be a good idea right now.

thank you!!

and even if you did TTC in july (or even wait till the fall) your son will be closer to three by the time baby is born. do you think that would help at all? i have no idea how long these toddler phases last.

I have been having a harder time waiting lately. Yesterday I went to my 5th baby shower since the spring (and there were 2 others I had to decline because I can only take so much...) All were my family and close friends. I also work with new parents. I am on newborn baby overload and it is killing me slowly, lol. Some days next year seems terribly far away, and others I am able to see all the positives for waiting.

I am embarrased to admit it...but, there are definitely days where pregnancy and fantasies of me being a mom occupy all my thoughts.

And yes, I have names. Particularly girls names -for whatever reason I always picture myself having a girl.

Hannah Lee
Leah Amber

and for a boy I love Eli or Elijah

Well, I am hearing bad things about 2 AND 3! Just depends on the child. I've heard wonderful things about 4 but to me seems like to big of an age gap. I knew I didn't want to have irish twins but 4 years feels to long.

oh I also have a time constraint. My parents live nearby from late may to late sept and I want to time a birth around may so that I have an extra set of hands for help for the summer......so its either this august or next! My hubby is on the fence.

MEcatlady17- sooo which woods do you live in We live in the boonies too but not too far away from the coast.

Hi we just recently decided that we're probably sure we want to start ttc in Dec/Jan. Well actually, were thinking of having my iud removed in Dec/Jan, and then we'll see how it goes. Our dd is 3 now, so we're hoping for her to be close to 4 when we get pg.

For some reason, it really scares me to have to plan this babe. With dd is was completely unexpected, but everything turned out well. If we hadn't accidently had dd I don't think that we'd have decided to have our first for a long time. Anyway, I'm rambling...but I am officially wanting but waiting.

same thing! both the kids are completely unexpected and its KILLING me to have to wait! planning is a totally different ball game...and on the flip side as well i have NO CLUE when i would have actually been able to start having kids if ds hadn't come along!

We can't have a surprise (DP is a woman!) but I hear ya. Planning is an interesting concept. And by "interesting" I mean it SUCKS! It's so hard to not plan every aspect of getting pregnant. Since we have to plan the whole thing, it's so hard to not get caught up in the little details, like exactly when to start trying, what zodiac sign should we try for (joking, but the thought has come up), what months of the year do I want to be pregnant for, etc. When we have saved the amount of money we want to have saved, why shouldn't we wait a bit longer and have MORE saved? What if it takes 6 months or more to get pregnant? Should we start 6 months BEFORE we really want to get pregnant? What if we can't decide on the donor? Should we start "shopping" for him now? I'm such a planner, anyway, I just wish with everything inside of me that we could have a surprise! Hoooweee! Now, that would be a headline!

And since getting pregnant, giving birth, and raising our child consumes most of my thoughts, part of me just wants to say "screw the plans, let's just start trying NOW!!!" I know that I really don't know what all of that is like, but I know deep down that I am READY!!!!
