i read it. it's been quite a while and i have a horrid memory but i recall it being very powerful, helpful, filled with scripture and inspirational. for the most part, i would say that the book is very gd. i seem to recall a part on spanking but it was one of those kinda things where he said that it's not a good idea but if you do decide to spank then do this, blah, blah, blah. i wasn't hip on the spanking part but, the overall info, was worth overlooking the spanking part.

thanks for reminding me, i really need to dig this out and do a re-read. i would recommend it. we all need us some grace. that's fer sure.

I have only read portions of it - but I know I have heard from other that it is one of very few Christian oriented parenting books that does NOT advocate spanking. I've heard/read it recommended many times.

i've read it; it's ok. very basic. i didn't buy it; i borrowed it from the library.

i think that Families Where Grace is in Place is much, much better. that i bought and have read it several times.
