Childhood TV Partners? - Page 2

No, no, she specifically said no movie heroes! (because otherwise, of COURSE Han Solo! goes without saying! Though Indiana Jones is even better MAY 22! May 22! May 22!)

And wait, no one mentioned Magnum PI! Oh yeah.

My kids tease me like mad because I love old guys. Harrison Ford!!!! Yeah!
And Mel before he turned to the Dark Side.

Oh man, Burt Reynolds!

When I was a kid and would go visit my Dad for the weekend or whatever he would sometimes take me to the office that he worked in. It was a big big building with lots of smaller offices, a breakroom/cafeteria, etc. I kind of ran around doing whatever and would check back in with him. I remember that in the smaller bathroom on the wall there was this GIANT poster of Burt nude on a bear skin rug. He had his junk covered up with something, a book maybe?? I remember being awestruck by the thing. I was probably 10, give or take.

Oh and I totally second having a thing for Hawkeye (Alan Alda). I can't believe I forgot him. He was funny, flawed, smart, and this huge huge heart.

Angus MacGyver.... I would have wanted to marry him even if he wasn't totally dreamy! We just picked several episodes for our Netflix queue... can't wait!

We didn't have a tv when I was a kid.

But, yeah, I thought MacGyver was cool and still think of him when I examine the contents of my bag wondering if I can concoct an explosive.

Did y'all see the Simpson's episode with MacGyver?

I had the biggest crush on Bo, of the Dukes of Hazzard!

I didn't want to marry him though...just make him my love slave. :

There, there, it's ok. You're among friends now

This thread has sent me googling down memory lane. I didn't realize how many of my crushes had such bad hair back then. The 80's had many wonderful things (IMO), but hair wasn't one of them

I love old guys too. Of course, the meaning of "old" changes every few years When I was a teen it meant people in their 20's and 30's

Are you sure you don't mean Rick Schroder? I don't remember Rick Springfield ( who is a singer and was on General Hospital in the 80's) ever being on Silver Spoons.

Patrick Stewart from Star Trek the Next Generation.
Me too, "marry" in that "oooh you love him, you want to marry him" kind of way, not actually wanting to be married.

Anyway your post reminded me that I had a crush on Data! No, not the actor, the android.

Oh man, can't remember his name, but the brunette from Emergency was mine for years! "One Adam Twelve..."

Oh, and Wally (The Beav's bro)

Wasn't Michael J. Fox on Family Ties? That reminds me, though, I was totally in love with Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains. And, of course, Leonardo DiCaprio. When I watch reruns now, I just do not understand the attraction. I mean, Kirk Cameron's character was so irresponsible -- completely inappropriate marriage material! Plus, who wants a husband whose best friend's name is Boner?

Ooooh yes! Johnny Depp! I loved that show.

I have to say, it was a little creepy when my 12-13 year old daughter started crushing on him... I was like, no... he's mine...

And yes, Silver Spoons was Ricky Schroeder (now "Rick"), and Rick Springfield sang "Jessie's Girl"... I loved that song.

And Hawkeye rocked! Does anyone else think Ira Flatow sounds like Alan Alda?

Thank you! It's strange, but I think he is the reason I fell in love with this guy. From the first time I saw him on Alias, I thought, "Oh my, he looks oddly familiar..." Turns out, he looks an awful lot like Randy did in his younger years!

Tom Selleck - Magnum PI, of course!
