Eczema and sun

Thread Starter
my 2 1/2 year old dd has excema it is related to food allergies and I am able to control it pretty well but it's usually always there a little. I have been noticing lately that when we go out in the sun and she gets hot her cheeks get really red and stay that way even after she has cooled down. Everyone thinks that she is sunburned but I know that's not it. Does anyone else notice this? I am also wondering if it could be related to the lotion I've been using on her- Gentle Naturals, baby eczema cream.

I've read that eczema-prone people should stay away from too much direct sun exposure, and always to wear sunblock. I know, for our son, if he gets too much son, he'll break out in eczema.

I just posted this in another thread, but it mentions sun exposure, so I'll post it here, too!
