Well, since I semi-hijacked Bluepetal's thread it's not new news, but my baby boy was born at about 12:30 April 30th. He's beautiful! It is unbelievable how empowering and healing it was to push him out of my vagina after having an emergency c-section with his big sister, and doing it at home was definitely the right choice for me, I was able to stay strong and confident in a way that I never could have been in hospital. Even the police believed me when I firmly said "I'm fine, go away". My little boy is so awsome! He weighed 9lb 1.5oz. He stayed really mellow throughout labour, so there was never any worry about distress or anything, and it was really magical to watch him pink up after he came out. He's finding the outside world a bit weird and scary, but he's getting the hang of nursing (he took to the boob pretty quickly, it's his technique that needs a bit of practice). My midwife team was awesome! The were very supportive, and worked really hard. I'm no waif and I demanded a lot of physical support. DD and DH stayed in the apartment throughout everything and both handled all the screaming really well. Oh, and this guy came at 39w1d, which was a bit of a surprise since dd went to 41w.
