Cesarean questions

I need some information

We're finding articles that state NJ has the highest cesarean rate, but no information online comparing all the states. Can anyone help me with that?

Also, I once read that the cesarean rate jumps on Superbowl Sunday (or the weekend). Now I can't find any articles on that.

Can anyone help here?

This table compares all the US states and territories:

Yep, as of 2006, it was New Jersey, with 37.4 percent of births (but the territory of Puerto Rico was 48.1!).

NJ's 2007 rates are out and we are now at 38.9% c-sections (info is from the NJ Center for Health Statistics).

I have never seen an article talking about the c-s rate jumping on Super Bowl weekend though it would not surprise me in the least.

Thanks!

(um, the thumb isn't for our horrible c-section rates, it's for the help in finding the info!).
