Waterproof Mattress Pad?

It's time to move our LO to her big girl bed. I've been looking for a waterproof mattress pad but cannot find one that doesn't contain polyurethane. We just paid big bucks to refinish our hardwood floors with a polyurethane alternative, so it seems ridiculous to put it on my LO's bed. Any waterproof mattress pad alternatives?

I use this a wool mattress pad, and it works great! I'm so impressed with it.

It's not waterPROOF, and I don't know if it would be natural enough for you, but we use a double layer of polyester fleece. Liquid pools on it for a while, long enough for you to wake up and grab a towel and soak up the puddle. A single layer doesn't work as well.

I've also heard of people having success with a nylon or polyester shower curtain over the mattress.

Not sure of the brand, but we also use a very similar wool pad on our dd's crib. It is great. When her diaper leaks, the pad dries so quickly, and if you put it out in the sun that day, there is no spot or odor left.

We found it nearly impossible to find a "waterproof" natural mattress pad, so wool was the next best thing! Good luck!

we have some from here, but it looks like they dont have ours any more..... ours are just cotton, reallt thickly woven... they've been great so far! they seem to have a bunch of wool ones, if you're not allergic....
