Bleeding Question - Page 2

Eep! I'd go back in for a checkup with the other MW, definitely.

it doesn't normally go on a very long time before labor. I'd probably try to get in to see the m/w today and make sure all is ok.

Oh, no. Are you serious? That is not what I wanted to hear... So what could it be?
well, given the sweeping yesterday (or at least what we all assume it was) I'd want to see if you're further dilating, if there's some cervical irritation, etc.

Do you know where your placenta is? any chance it's low?

I haven't had an U/S since 23 weeks at which time it was out in front like sort of by my belly button. Could it go low from there??

Would it be bad if I'm dilating further since I was already a 4 and am almost 37 weeks??

Sorry just trying to get my head around this.

Not likely. Most placentas move up or stay in place.

It wouldn't necessarily be bad if you were further dilating, but unless you're planning a homebirth (slash UC) you may want to know, as you could go VERY fast.

True. I feel so mentally drained and I hate that I never know what's going on with my body.

Thanks for your advice (as USUAL!!)

Thinking of you. Hope you get a chance to talk to your other midwife soon and everything's ok.

Any pain, or is it just the strange bloody mucous?

not to mention tell her what that guy did. :

Last friday nite/early sat morning I had this.... all of sat, expected labor but nothing since. Not sure how long it will go for you, but you might want to call the MW and let them know what's going on

No pain, so that's good.

Any updates?

I asked my m/w for you and she said it is possible to tickle the baby's hand to get them to move it up away from their faces. So he may not have been entirely in the wrong.
